Feeding America and Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign hosted a Congressional Briefing called "Child Hunger: The Impact on Education and Health" on Wednesday, September 19. The briefing highlighted the prevalence of child hunger nationally, in each congressional district and in the classroom as well as programs that exist to address child hunger. In addition, the panelists discussed the impact of hunger and poor nutrition on health and cognition and what legislators can do to connect children with food in their districts.

Dr. Maureen Black, Children's HealthWatch Co-Principal Investigator was a member of the panel along with Dr. Elaine Waxman of Feeding America and Bill Dalbec of APCO Insight.
