This Week in Poverty: Welfare Reform--From Bad to Worse

Mr. Kaufmann describes the rise of extreme poverty and the gutting of benefits at both the federal and state level. Crystal S., a Philadelphia Witness to Hunger, is quoted. He writes that the Witnesses to Hunger Exhibit in Boston is a way to become involved with the issues.  Eight mothers from the Boston area have taken over 700 photos and videos reflecting their experiences with food, housing, health and education. Thirty-five of those photos will be exhibited at the Massachusetts State House from March 12-15.
