Children's HealthWatch's Research and Policy Director, Stephanie Ettinger de Cuba, was quoted by author Greg Kaufmann in a article about the state of hunger in the United States. Ettinger de Cuba said," The bottom line is that SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) is a health program and it works like medicine for children in these families, working to counteract their heightened vulnerability."  Principal Investigators, Dr. Deborah Frank and Dr. Mariana Chilton, were also interviewed in this article.
